2 NEBRAS Institute has signed a partnership agreement with the United Nations Population Fund (UNPF) to support women and children victims of violence

As part of a joint project, NEBRAS Institute has signed a three-year partnership agreement with the United Nations Population Fund (UNPF) for women and children victims of violence. The project was launched in 2018 and continues until 2020. It includes a training component and a victim care component.

The intervention of NEBRAS in this pioneering project includes developing training programmes to strengthen the capacity of psychologists, specialists and health professionals in protection and accommodation centres to provide the necessary care for women and girls victims of violence in some regions.

The academic component of this project has been developed in cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine of Tunis for two years, by setting up specialized Master Degrees in Criminology and Victimology.

NEBRAS Institute has collaborated with the Faculty of Medicine of Tunis by giving lectures and seminars and providing logistical support in coordination with the Scientific Council of the Institute.

This partnership is also concretized through a training project for child psychiatrists in public health and civil society in Tunis and in other regions in order to care for children and women victims of sexual assault, as well as through a training component to care for sexually and physically abused women.
