Since its inception and during five years of existence, the Tunisian Rehabilitation Institute (NEBRAS) - the first rehabilitation centre for survivors of torture in Tunisia - has become the most appropriate space and environment for rehabilitation of victims of torture, psycho-trauma, migrants, women and children victims of sexual assault, regardless of their category or social status.
This achievement was possible owing to not only a multidisciplinary management team of experienced psychiatrists, physiotherapists and psychologists who received specialized training in the rehabilitation and treatment of victims of torture, but also through intensified efforts to combat torture and all forms of degrading treatment.
